Procession

Procession is a drawing using the reductive methodology which erases the charcoal ground to create the highlights and builds form with graphite and white chalk. I was inspired to create a scenario that celebrated the female form, albiet, allowing us to see only her back. I wrapped her in drapery that trails off hoping to add to the tactile spectrum...and allude to the question of where she is coming from and where she is going - as she peers into the distance.
